Admission is $5 per person and includes two Egg hunts, exciting games, arts & crafts and photos with the Easter Bunny and Bull. Breakfast will also be served in the school store. East DECA Easter Egg Hunt Details:<\/span><\/h5>\n

<\/a>The first round of the East Egg Hunt will begin promptly at 10 AM. A second round of Egg Hunting will begin an hour later at 11 AM. Each of the egg hunts will begin in the Commons Caf\u00e9, leading outdoors to the Commons Courtyard where all of the eggs are actually hidden. The Food Allergy friendly Egg Hunts are open to children of all age groups. <\/span><\/p>\n

A variety of craft and game stations will include Sponge Painting Egg Baskets and Spring themed coloring sheets, as well as a Pin the Tail on the Bunny game. A la carte breakfast items will be available for purchase (separate from admission fee) in the School Store. All of the food has been donated by local vendors. Breakfast will be available for purchase in the School Store throughout the entire event. A portion of the proceeds will go toward costs for future DECA competitions in addition to potential scholarships for seniors.<\/span><\/p>\n

Tickets are cash only, sold at the door. Admission is $5 per person.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

Lombardi tells Smithtown Today, that the East Egg Hunt was inspired with the hope of bringing community spirit and togetherness to families in Smithtown. The Smithtown HS East DECA students have filled 1,000 plastic eggs with treats and spring themed items for younger children! The eggs have been stuffed with non-food prizes in consideration of parents and children with food allergies. The students have thought of everything, including splitting up the egg hunts into two separate groups, to keep the courtyard from overcrowding. Lombardi also says that it \u201cgives people the opportunity to budget time between doing crafts and games, taking pictures with the Bunny and Bull and hunting for eggs.\u201d <\/span><\/p>\n

Forget waiting on line at the Mall for pictures with the Easter Bunny\u2026 AP Art Student and DECA Officer, Samantha Cheng will be using her Canon 5D Mark III to shoot some incredible photos with the Easter Bunny, children and their families. The DECA team created Spring themed \u201cStick Props\u201d for the whole family to pose with. Parents are welcome to take pictures on phones or cameras (photos included in admission). However, if parents would like to request the DECA pictures, they may do so by leaving email addresses behind.<\/span><\/p>\n

In addition to Smithtown HS East DECA advisors, Mr. Hennings, Mrs. LoFrese and Ms. Miller, a team of twelve DECA officers (lead by Co- Presidents; Kyle DiPietrantonio and Victoria Lombardi) set up the Egg Hunt concept and marketing efforts. General DECA members have also volunteered to assist with the day's festivities.<\/span><\/p>\n

All of the hard work, effort and energy put into this event by our DECA officer team, led by Kyle and Victoria is truly an inspiration. Smithtown Today was blown away by the level of professionalism and organization exhibited by each DECA member, involved in orchestrating such a fantastic event. Victoria Lombardi tells us, communication was what ultimately got the job done. \u201cWe reached out to several businesses and people to help us orchestrate this event. We created advertising materials, distributed them throughout the school district, designed crafts and activities for the children to take part in. Ultimately, communicating amongst our club to ensure each task was done efficiently was crucial to the success of the EAST Egg Hunt. This event was somewhat difficult to plan because of the amount of activities we have going on, but it was all for a great cause!\u201d - Victoria Lombardi, Smithtown H.S.
