It’s looking like the most beautiful weekend of 2016 thus far. Lucky for Smithtown residents,  there’s a whole calendar of incredible events taking place over the course of the next week. Mark your calendars and get ready for the beautiful weather with the Weekend fun guide!

Smithtown restaurant week

Enjoy the final weekend of Smithtown Restaurant week. Choose from a vast variety of restaurants to choose from during one of the largest Restaurant Weeks on Long Island, brought to you by the Smithtown Chamber of Commerce. Participating restaurants are offering a 3-course price fixed dinner at $27.95 per person.

(Saturday evening after 7 pm regular menus will be reinstated for the remainder of the evening)

LI Boat show March 10th – March 13th, 2016

The Long Island Boat Show is home to a large selection of the hottest new powerboats, cruisers, sport fishing boats, yachts and ski boats. For those looking for the latest toys to go on your current vessel, the LI Boat Show feature  vendors with marine products, boating accessories, engines, marine electronics, generators, entertainment systems and alarms in addition to personal watercraft. There’s something for the whole family to enjoy from Nature Nick’s Animal Show, Magic Show and Face Painting for kids, to great lectures and entertainment for grown ups.

Addmission Information: $12.00 adults, $10.00 seniors, $5.00 child 6-15.

The LI Boat Show is held at Grumman Studios in Bethpage, NY

LI Boat Show Hours:

  • Thursday: 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm
  • Friday: 12:00 pm – 8:00 pm
  • Saturday: 10:00 am – 8:00 pm
  • Sunday: 10:00 am – 6:00 pm
Get Your Boating Certificate On!

Did you know that the NYS law requires all boaters born after May 1,1996 to hold a NYS Safe Boating Certificate?  Lucky for us, Captains Alan and Daniel Aiello are offering the NYS Safe Boating Course on March 19 2016 at the Nissequogue State Park Marina Administration Building.

The Safe boating course is a one day event, from 9AM-5PM next Saturday. The course is open to anyone, 10 years or older. All whom take the course will receive a permanent NYS Boating Certificate, after completion of this class. The cost to reserve a spot in the course is only $20. Space is limited. NOTE: Anyone using a PWC 14 Years and older are also required.

Head to the St. James Chamber of Commerce 32nd annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade! The Parade begins at 1PM starting at Woodlawn Avenue and Lake Avenue, ending at the St. James Gazebo (Just passed the LIRR and before the St. James Elementary School)
