Suffolk County detectives working in the Burglary Task Force along with detectives from the First, Second, Third, and Fourth Precincts arrested the three subjects who targeted parked cars in cemeteries, gyms and a church.
The suspects broke into 11 vehicles at St. Charles Cemetery, located at 2015 Wellwood Avenue, East Farmingdale, while people were visiting graves on several different dates. They also broke into vehicles at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in Bay Shore.
The following gyms were targeted:
- Retro Fitness in Deer Park
- Planet Fitness in Melville
- Eastern Athletic Club in Melville
- Gold’s Gym in Smithtown
- LA Fitness in Patchogue
- Bally Total Fitness in Bay Shore
- Lucille Roberts in Bay Shore
The suspects often broke a window in the vehicle when they saw pocketbooks or property that was visible from the outside.
Steven Glover, 26, of Wyandanch, was charged with 33 counts of Grand Larceny 4th Degree and for a parole violation. Sierra Green 20, of Wyandanch was charged with 26 counts of Grand Larceny 4th Degree. Inesha Stephan, 23, of Huntington Station was charged with 5 counts of Grand Larceny 4th Degree.
Glover, Green, and Stephan are all scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip Today, January 16.
