The Spirit of Smithtown – The Musical

Get ready to watch the history of Smithtown on stage.  Thanks to innovative individuals like Pat Biancaniello and town historian, Brad Harris,the Smithtown 350 foundation has commissioned a musical celebrating 350 years of Smithtown history, people and communities. The one-act play, sponsored by Cablevision, The Gardiner Foundation & The Smithtown 350 Foundation, was written by acclaimed playwright, Sal St.George. Famous for bringing history to life on stage, St.George’s musical, the Spirit of Smithtown is seen through the eyes of a vaudevillian named Willie Collier. The vaudevillian serves as an entertaining guide through historical moments in Commack, Hauppauge, Kings Park, Nesconset and Smithtown.

Admission is free of charge and on a first come first serve basis. Seating is unassigned and limited, so pick up your tickets today at Smithtown Center for Performing Arts (2 E. Main St., Smithtown), the Smithtown 350 Foundation website or the People’s United Bank (1 East Main St. Smithtown).

About the Smithtown 350 Foundation

The Smithtown 350 Foundation, Inc.  is a not-for-profit corporation that was created by residents of Smithtown, who volunteered their time and joined together to form an organization that would organize and coordinate the celebration of Smithtown’s 350th Anniversary, Smithtown’s Sesquarcentennial. The committee, formed by Town Historian Bradley Harris will actively promote, direct, and run activities and events on behalf of the Town of Smithtown. The foundation also promotes interest in Smithtown’s history through participation and involvement of Smithtown 350th events from residents, schools, other organizations, businesses, and corporations.
