Smithtown 350th Anniversary Parade: Saturday, September 26, 2015 11:30 AM – 5:30 PM
Happy 350th Birthday Smithtown! Keeping with the traditions of those who planned Smithtown’s 300th Anniversary events in 1965, The Smithtown 350 Foundation has organized a Historic 350th Anniversary Parade down Main Street Smithtown this Saturday, September 26, 2015. The event is free and all are invited to cheer on, over 2100 marchers, made up of 70 individual organizations,businesses or schools, Fire Departments, 16 floats and bands as well as the first Smithtown 350 baby (born after March 4th, 2015) and the oldest living resident. The parade will begin at noon, starting at Singer Lane to Smithtown Town Hall and and ending at New York Avenue School.
Tip: Main Street in Smithtown will be closed during the parade, so please arrive early to get a spot along the parade route.
St. James Day: October 4th, 2015 11:00 AM – 5:00 PM
The St. James Chamber of Commerce is holding its 28th Annual St. James Dat, next Sunday. Enjoy plenty of entertainment throughout the day along Lake Avenue in St. James. Shop or browse the hundreds of vendors, featuring fun crafts for kids, homemade goods, jewelry, fashion and food!
Tip: Lake Avenue will be closed to traffic for the duration of the festival
Deepwells Fall Festival: October 10 – October 11 10 AM – 5 PM
The annual fall festival at Deepwells always draws a great crowd, as there’s always plenty of fun activities for the whole family. Children’s activities include the pumpkin patch and pumpkin painting, hay jump, pony rides, petting zoo, hayrides, old fashioned games and other entertainment throughout the day. Adults can enjoy an endless variety of handmade crafts, original and creative items from vendors, fall harvest goods, gourmet food and live entertainment. Admission is $5 for adults, $1 for seniors and children ages 12 and under
