Today the Girls Field Hockey Teams from both Smithtown High School East and West met on the field as one in memory of Diane Corey. The 12th annual game is held to honor the life of an exceptional individual, who left this world all too soon.
The Diane Corey Scholarship Fund was established by her parents, Pat and Mike, to award seniors from Smithtown East & West Girls’ Field Hockey teams annually. Recipients are chosen based on athletic prowess, community service and team leadership, representing the quintessential traits of Diane, which live on in our hearts still.
Diane Corey played Field Hockey with the same passion she lived by… dreaming of victory, winning with dignity and instilling hope in the hearts of many. Congratulations to the Smithtown Field Hockey Teams for honoring her memory with the very same adoration, on the field and in your hearts.
