Out of nearly 600 entries, 29 were chosen for this year’s competition from around the U.S. The show was curated by art director Stephen Mayes, secretary of the World Press Photo Competition and executive director of the Tim Hetherington Trust. The exhibit will be on display now through Jan. 7.

About The FotoFoto Gallery:

The FotoFoto gallery is a 501(c)3 charitable organization, formed in 2003 by a group of fine art photographers, to create a center for the exchange of photographic visions. Now in its 13th year, FotoFoto gallery continues to be a venue for the photography community and students to study a wide range of photographic processes, such as traditional black and white, digital, experimental and alternative processes. The gallery hosts twelve exhibitions each year and reaches out to the community by providing invitational shows, workshops and lectures. The gallery is located in the heart of Huntington, New York and is open Wednesday through Sunday and by appointment.
