Smithtown Supervisor Contender Hosts Kickoff Fundraiser

supervisor race smithtown contender

The contender in this years Supervisor Race, John Zollo has announced his kick off fundraiser, this Wednesday, April 26th from 6 PM to 8 PM at the Elks Lodge in Smithtown. Tickets are just $50 per person, which will go to help fund his “Quest” to be the first new Supervisor in the town of Smithtown in 40 years. Using an illustration of Don Quixote on Whisper the Bull, with the words “The winds of change are coming,” his campaign promises to be an unconventional, positive one, unlike anything the town has scene.

John Zollo has set out to become the Town’s next Supervisor, and sally forth into the town of Smithtown in search of adventures; to mount a crusade; to raise up the weak and those in need. No longer will he be plain John Zollo, but a dauntless Supervisor known as Don Zollo, the Man of La Main Street!

While, we can quote the best lines from the book, all day long, Zollo tells Smithtown Today, that he can no longer sit idly by for another election, another four years of political puff pieces and disinformation, clouding the minds of the Smithtown Taxpayers.

“I will not dispute the fact that Pat Vecchio has been a good Supervisor, a fighter and a man who truly cares for this town. However, given his failing health, in this the twilight of his remarkable life… the time to allow someone else to step in and take Smithtown forward into the future is here. The town needs repairs, to our Parks, Infrastructure and our business districts are in desperate need of wastewater management and basic groundwork to assure economic development and growth. There is much work to be done if we are to preserve Smithtown’s pristine way of life for our Children’s children.” – John Zollo
