Smithtown HSE Student Artists Chosen for Manhattan Photography Exhibit

Emily Knott and Leesa Peterson are juniors at Smithtown High School East and soon-to-be big city stars. The two photographers will feature their work on view at the 96th Annual New York State School Boards Association Conference in New York City next week.   

The two students, designed their work in Dianne Shanian’s photography class last year. My Ground, by Emily Knott and Lessa Peterson’s Shadow of Me, were both designed using Adobe Photoshop software.  The Smithtown artists’ work will be displayed on the lower level of the exhibit center at the Sheraton Time Square from October 18th through the 19th. Special viewings for the artists, families and teachers will be held on the evening of October 19th,2015.
The exhibit, co-sponsored by New York State Art Teachers Association and NYSSBA, is intended to highlight achievement in visual arts across the state in a range of mediums, techniques and genres.

The Sheraton New York Times Square Hotel is located at 811 7th Avenue at 52nd Street in Manhattan, NY
