Smithtown Events that Give Back

It’s time to gather with friends, family and neighbors for a good cause or two, in the spirit of the giving season. Smithtown is loaded with plenty of family fun activities leading up to Thanksgiving Day. Whether you are an athlete looking to improve on your 5k time or want to have some fun gathering supplies for local food pantries, Smithtown Today has the week of FUN-raising fundraisers guide to get our readers in the spirit of giving back.

Kings Park Events:

On Saturday, November 21st, the Kings Park Varsity and JV athletes along members of the National Honor Society and Life Skills students will host the Kings Park H.S. annual Stuff-A-Bus project. From 9-11 AM members of the community are invited to bring household items, non-perishables and other basic essentials to the Key Food Shopping Center. The Students will then attempt to literally stuff a school bus filled with the donated items which will go to support local food pantries. This is a fun event to attend, especially since it’s our younger generations who take the initiative to help local families in need.

Items needed include, personal hygiene and sanitary products, toiletries, canned food, pasta, school snacks, and paper goods. Frozen Turkeys are also welcome!
