The Smithtown East chapter of SADD hosted a Flapjack Fundraiser this morning to raise money for the Lymphoma Research Foundation. The Charity event was held in honor of Arty Miller, a former teacher at Great Hollow Middle School who passed away last fall.
Students, faculty and friends of Arty Miller have banded together as a family to remember the life of an extraordinary man and exceptional teacher, via the web. The tribute website for Mr. Miller includes both memories and examples of the endless number of lives influenced by the Great Hollow Teacher.
“It warms our hearts to see students, teachers, and families coming together to honor a great man who gave so much to the school community” -President of East SADD, Rachel Emmerson
