Male Sex Offender Arrested for Sexual Contact with 14-year-old in Fort Salonga Shopping Center
Suffolk County Police have arrested a man for having sexual contact with a 14 year old boy in a car at the Fort Salonga Shopping Center parking lot early yesterday morning.
During a routine patrol, Fourth Precinct Police Officer, Dennis Lynch, noticed a car parked in a darkened area of the parking lot around 12:10 A.M. on Monday January 28th. Upon arriving at the car, Officer Lynch discovered two individuals without clothing, inside the car. An initial investigation unveiled the fact that the owner of the car, Kieran Bunce, was a registered Level 1 sex offender. Bunce was in the company of a 14 year old male.
Fourth Squad detectives discovered that the sexual encounter between Bunce and the minor was premeditated via a cell phone application. Detectives verified that sexual contact between the boy and Bunce had taken place. The sex offender was quickly arrested.
Kieran Bunce of Melville, was charged with two felony counts of Criminal Sex Act in the 2nd Degree, and Endangering the Welfare of a Child in the 1st Degree, a misdemeanor. Bunce was scheduled to be arraigned this morning, January 29th, 2016 at First District Court in Central Islip.
