The Smithtown 350 Foundation presents a Salute to Smithtown Veterans
The Smithtown 350 Foundation kicked of Veterans Day with a special tribute to the many men and women of Smithtown who have served our great Nation. The historical exhibit, entitled Salute to Smithtown Veterans, debuted Sunday November 8th, 2015 and will run through this Friday, November 13th.
The exhibit features photos and memorabilia that chronicles Smithtown residents, who served in the Military, dating as far back as the Revolutionary War. The exhibit tells a story that depicts 240 years of historical wars, including World War I & II,Vietnam, the Korean War, Afghanistan and present day anti-terrorism efforts. The exhibit also pays a special homage to the 7,762 Veterans currently living in Smithtown (Census 2013).
Salute to Smithtown Veterans is on view at 77 W. Main St. in Smithtown, from 3 PM to 6 PM daily. The exhibit hours are extended on Veterans Day, November 11th, opening at 9 AM and closing at 4 PM.
