Volunteer to be a hero today. The volunteer firefighters at Nesconset Fire Department help the community on a daily basis. Today, they are asking residents to lend a hand and give blood at the fire house, located at 25 Gibbs Pond Road in Nesconset. Get a free large sandwich when you donate or present to donate, from McDonald’s, between 3 PM and 9 PM Today.
Eligibility To Give Blood Criteria:
- Bring ID with signature or photo.
- Minimum weight 110 lbs.
- Age 16 – 75 (16 year olds must have parental permission.
- Age 76 and over need doctor’s note)
- Eat well (low fat) & drink fluids
- No tattoos for past 12 months
