On Monday, January 18th, a special gathering at the Nesconset Fire Department was held to honor a band of brothers who have served their Country and now the community. Legislator Leslie Kennedy, accompanied by husband and County Comptroller John Kennedy, presented a group of former United States Military serviceman, now firefighters, with special pins and certificates to commemorate their continued commitment to protect the community.
“It was my pleasure to meet these very selfless and kindhearted men. Not only did they dedicate their lives to serving in the military, but now they are helping to protect the community by volunteering as firemen; they truly exemplify heroism and bravery.’’
Nesconset Firefighters Dennis Bricker, Steve Siwulec, Matt Hoffman, Brian Heinlein, Allen Cottrell, Albert Anderson, William Pfeiffer, Matt Driscoll, Roger Larson, Ronnie Siwulec, Gregory Anderson, Andy Garabedian, and Andrew Normadeau were recognized for their dedication, bravery and service to Country and Community
