Suffolk County Police Pattern Crime Unit detectives are investigating a robbery that occurred yesterday at Teachers Federal Credit Union in Nesconset. Authorities say the man entered the bank, located at 127 Smithtown Blvd. and handed a teller a note demanding cash. The note implied threats of violence if the Teller did not comply. The perpetrator fled on foot, after the teller gave him the cash.
Although his face was covered, the man is described as white, approximately 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 10 inches tall. He was wearing jeans, a gray coat and a red winter hat.
Detectives are asking anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
