Nesaquake Middle School is getting a very special puppy… or two! Thanks to an online fundraiser set up by Matthew Redlein, a seventh grader at Nesaquake, the school has begun fundraising to sponsor a VetDog puppy.
America’s VetDogs, paid a visit to the students at Nesaquake yesterday. On Tuesday, January 19th, the sister organization of the Guide Dog Foundation, educated the student body regarding the Puppy program and what it means to become a VetDog sponsor.
Seventh-grader, Matthew Redlein has already raised $6,500 to sponsor one puppy. The Nesaquake seventh-grade activities club and School counselor, Kimberly Richardson are running a lollipop and bracelet sale, in addition to online fundraising. The school’s goal is to raise enough money to sponsor a second VetDog Puppy.
As a VetDog puppy sponsor, Nesaquake Middle School will have the right to name a puppy in the program. The School will also be updated on the puppy’s progress, growing up and training to become a service dog.
