Some very talented budding musicians were hand picked to open for the world famous Harlem Globetrotters last Sunday at Madison square garden. On February 19th, the Nesaquake Middle School select choir, sang the star spangled banner, for a packed house, under the tutelage of Ms. Greenblatt. The chorus performed a capella, which is no easy feat. The choir received a wild round of applause from the entire arena.
Being selected to sing the national anthem at Madison square garden is an honor in it’s own right. Video auditions are sent from thousands of talented artists from all over New York and surrounding areas. Only the very best are chosen to open for one of the teams that play at the garden.
