Smithtown Historical Society Park Picnic & Tours
Picnic under the stars at the Smithtown Historical Society. Tonight, May 26th, 2016 starting at 6 PM, it’s BYOB… that’s bring your own basket! Enjoy a family style picnic on the park grounds and then head in for a special tour of the famous Epenetus Smith Tavern and the Judge John Lawrence Smith Homestead by the resident expert, Brad Harris. Flower Scavenger Hunt at Caleb Smith State Park Preserve
Saturday May 28th, 2016 from 10 AM to 11 AM. They say April showers bring May flowers. Well you and your little ones will certainly prove that theory at Caleb Smith Park’s May Flowers. The program begins indoors and then outside for a scenic and educated floral scavenger hunt in the preserve. Toys r Us Memorial Day in-store Parade
Treat your little ones to a special parade with Geoffrey at Toys R Us in Lake Grove. The parade is from 1 PM-3 PM. Featuring fun events and giveaways. For the older kids, get there before 10AM for the Ultimate Shopkins Swap-kins party! From 10 AM – Noon, kids can bring their Shopkins collection to swap with fellow fans. Memorial Day Parades:
Kings Park: Start time is 9 AM. Parade route begins at the RJO School at Old Dock Road and Church Street and ends at Veterans Plaza for a special Flag Ceremony.
St. James: Start time is 10 AM. Parade route begins at the corner of Lake Ave and Woodlawn Ave (Capital One Bank) and runs along Lake Avenue concluding at the St. James Elementary School for a special ceremony
Smithtown: Start time is 12PM. Parade begins at Main Street and Route 111, continuing west on Main Street to the Town
