From the Man Cave: Resurrecting Bottle Caps

A Man Cave must walk a line between wife approved and guy-cred cool. Bottle Caps can add that distinctive charm to your man cave, as long as they are used properly and not piled up on the floor or spilling over the garbage.

Turn them into Coasters:

You can create a classic and colorful set of coasters by gluing bottle caps (logo facing up) to corkboard. Use a heavy duty glue or waterproof silicone caulk to glue nine bottle caps (in sets of three) on each piece of cork. Use an X-acto knife to cut the excess cork around the edges.

Bottle Cap Art:

Fill a Shadow Box up with loose bottle caps and stick word art stencils of your favorite drinking toast or sports team on the glass.

rulesBottle Cap Lamp Base:

Pick up a “lamp kit” from any hardware store (Home Depot sells these starting at $13). Take a cleaned and otherwise empty Bourbon Bottle (or your favorite Spirit) and fill it with bottle caps. Assemble the lamp kit according to its instructions and turn it on in time for pre-game commentary.

Man Cave Sign:

Every man should be proud of his lair. Make a sign using a piece of wood, painted your favorite color and frame it with bottle caps. Leave room in the center to stencil the name of your man cave, favorite team or toast.
