This Thursday, July 9th, Legislator Kennedy (R-Nesconset) in conjunction with Councilman Kevin LaValle (R-Centereach) and New York Blood Center will be hosting a blood drive at the Lake Grove Recreation Center. The blood banks are low and it is of the utmost importance to refill our blood banks. “Every two seconds, someone needs blood, so I encourage everyone to roll up their sleeves and make a donation. You could save someone’s life.” said Councilman LaValle.
This blood drive is part of Leslie’s long series of blood drives in an effort to replenish Suffolk County’s local blood banks. “It is really important to give blood, you never know when you may be the person in need of lifesaving blood, so I urge everyone in the community to come out on Thursday and give two pints, a few minutes can save a life.” said Leslie Kennedy.
The Lake Grove Recreation Center is located at 980 Hawkins Avenue, Lake Grove. For any questions about this blood drive feel free to contact Leslie Kennedy’s office at (631) 854-3735, online at Leslie.kennedy@suffolkcountyny.gov or Like Legislator Kennedy on Facebook.
