Kings Park residents and High School Alumni are cheering for one of their own this week. Peter Sicardi, the SUNY Old Westbury men’s soccer senior goalkeeper was named to the Skyline Conference Men’s Soccer Weekly Honor Roll for games played October 12th-18th. The Kings Park High School graduate, previously earned the honor of conference’s co-player of the week for games played October 5th-11th.
The Kings Park native is ranked 2nd, 4 among conference leaders in shutouts, 2nd, 0.31 shutouts per game, 9th, 2.36 goals against average, 4th, 77 saves, 4th, 5.92 saves per game and 6th, .706 save percentage.Last week, Sicardi (4-7-2) accumulated twelve saves and recorded the seventh shutout of his career against Farmingdale State and Mount Saint Mary. The Kings Park Goalkeeper totaled ten saves against Farmingdale in 110 minutes in net, during the October 14th game. Only three days later, Sicardi kept the game against Mount Saint Mary tied with two saves and ended his 430 scoreless minute stretch, 89 minutes into the game with a loan goal.
Cheer your fellow Kings Park Alumni on at the annual “International – Around the World” themed Panther Madness next Thursday, October 29 at 8 p.m. Doors open at 7 p.m. and will be closing at 9 p.m.,
