Kings Park Farmer’s Market to Host “Dinah”, A Dog Looking for a Home

Dinah, a bull terrier/shep mix, will be featured at the Kings Park Farmer’s Market on July 30Dinah along with some other canine friends. Dinah is up for adoption and the Smithtown Animal Shelter is looking for a family for her.

According to Councilwoman Lisa Inzerillo, who is spearheading the “Adopt Dinah Campaign,” Dinah loves to run & can jump up to 6 feet. She’s strong, good with little kids but can knock them over, so kids over 12 would be best. She weighs approximately 60 pounds. She loves to play with toys and could get along with another dog but a meet & greet with your family dog would be necessary.

Dinah has no issues with food aggression, people aggression, can pull on leash so needs to have a strong person walking her.

If you visit the shelter you will find Dinah is very excited to see visitors. Dinah is a sweet girl who loves her toys, and being with people. She is a social magnet, according to her caretakers.
