The Kings Park St. Patrick’s Day Parade Celebrates it’s Annual Grand Marshall Ball

It’s been an exciting two weeks for the Creighton family.   Michael Cyril Creighton, the son of Saint Anthony’s Alumni Director and teacher, Denise Creighton, has made his hollywood debut in  Spotlight; the most acclaimed film of the year. Robert C. Creighton, the son of Councilman Bob Creighton, was appointed Managing Partner of Farrell Fritz, Rated Best Lawyers by U.S. News & World Report. However, the Creighton Clan put all other accolades aside, last Saturday to honor the distinguished life of Smithtown’s favorite public servant. Councilman Bob Creighton was selected as the 2016 Kings Park St. Patrick’s Day Grand Marshall back in September.  

The Annual Grand Marshall Ball was held at Flowerfield in St. James, last Saturday November 21, 2015.  The evening was filled with entertainment, including an opening performance of the National Anthem by Lieutenant Michael Crowley, St. Anthony’s Pipe Band and stellar Raffles. A special tribute of Creighton’s many accomplishments, was delivered by Brother Gary Cregan , O.S.F.of St. Anthony’s.

Bob Creighton was a member of the first class of the Suffolk County Police Department, in 1961. He proudly served with the Suffolk County Police Department for Twenty years. He earned degrees from SUNY at Farmingdale, City University of New York, SUNY at  Stony Brook and the FBI Academy over the course of Seven Years. His resume is extensive and impressive, serving as Suffolk County Police Commissioner, Chief Investigator for the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office, an Adjunct Professor for 22 years, and has served Smithtown as Town Councilman, since 2007. He serves as Trustee for St. Joseph’s Parish; a member to Knights of Columbus, the Ancient Order of Hibernians and works with a number of Veterans Services organizations.
