About Smithtown Children’s Foundation
The Smithtown Children’s Foundation provides financial and emotional support to local families during times of crisis. Founders Christine Fitzgerald and Kristy Middleton see to it that their organization brings family, friends, neighbors and surrounding businesses together as one to help a Child and his/her family when they need it the most. Since it’s conception, Smithtown Children’s Foundation has teamed up with Schools, Sports Teams, Businesses and Similar organizations, to assure the Children suffering from terminal illness, tragic circumstances or the families in need of comfort after a child has left this world too soon, will always have the support of an entire Community to get through, during their darkest of hours.

About Hoyt Farm:
Hoyt Farm is a Nature Preserve originally founded in the 1700’s by the Wicks Family. In 1910 the Hoyts bought the property and managed one of the first apple and peach orchids, on the island, for nearly 60 years. The Town of Smithtown transformed the orchid into a nature preserve, maintained as self sufficient for wildlife and migrating birds. Smithtown residents can get lost in scenic beauty or learn something new about local history. Educational tours of the historic Hoyt Family Home, vital pond life, indigenous wildlife and local farm animals are only a portion of daily experiences at Hoyt Farm. Schools, Scout groups and families all over long island come to view extraordinary exhibits and artifacts from the Native Americans who thrived throughout the lands, before our Ancestors settled.
