Have Brunch with Congressman Lee Zeldin

Spend the afternoon with one of the most outspoken members of Congress, reinforcing higher standards in foreign policy and improving the caliber of education our children deserve. The Smithtown Women’s Republican Club will host a special Garden Party Luncheon in support of Congressman Lee Zeldin for reelection in 2016. The afternoon meet and greet will be held on Sunday, June 28th from 2 P.M. to 4 P.M.2 in Nissequogue, at the Windsor Hill home of Margaret Durso.  The outdoor garden party is $75 per plate or $125 per couple and includes a beautiful brunch buffet, beer and wine and the chance to get to know Congressman Lee Zeldin.

About Congressman Lee Zeldin

A man of infinite achievements from the beginning of his first career in law, Zeldin became New York’s youngest attorney at age 23. Lee Zeldin served with the US Army as a Military Intelligence Officer, a Federal Prosecutor, Military Magistrate and was deployed as a paratrooper with the 82nd Airborne Division, during Operation Iraqi Freedom. In 2010, Lee Zeldin was Elected to the New York State Senate, where he created a number of programs for returning soldiers with PTSD and Traumatic Brain Injury and wrote an anti-protest law during burials for fallen veterans. Zeldin also sponsored legislation enacting the Country’s strongest property tax cap and reduced taxes for the middle class to its lowest level in 60 years. In 2014, Lee Zeldin became Congressman of New York’s First Congressional District on the east end of Long Island. The freshman Congressman was given the very rare appointment to serve on three U.S. House Committees (Transportation & Infrastructure, Foreign Affairs and Veterans’ Affairs) as well as serving on countless subcommittees and serves as co-chairman of the House Republican Israel Caucus.

  1. Promote the principles of freedom, equality and justice on which is founded the government of this Country.
  2. Foster and encourage loyalty to the Republican party and to promote its ideals.
  3. Facilitate cooperation among the Republican women of the Town of Smithtown.
  4. Support the objectives and policies of the Republican national, state, county and town committees.
  5. Cooperate in the election of the Republican party’s nominees in general and special elections.
