Christopher Noselli, a 36-year-old homeless man was struck by a car late last night, on Vets Highway in Hauppauge. Suffolk County Police fourth precinct detectives reported Noselli was walking eastbound on Veterans Memorial Highway, close to Old Townline Rd. when he was hit by a 2006 Nissan Murano at 9:20 P.M.
Emergency First responders at Commack Rescue responded to the scene and transported the man to St. Catherine of Siena Medical Center in Smithtown. Christopher Noselli was pronounced dead at the hospital.
Smithtown resident, Laura Escobar, was driving in the eastbound lane when her Nissan Murano struck Noselli, who was also walking in the lane. Escobar stopped, was cooperative and is not facing any charges. Her car was impounded for a safety check as the investigation continues.
