Friends of Caleb Smith Preserve’s First Annual Fall Festival

The Friends of Caleb Smith Preserve are throwing the First Annual Fall Festival in conjunction with the Park’s 40th anniversary. This Sunday, October 5th from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. at Caleb Smith State Park Preserve in Smithtown. Admission is only $10 per carload and there is no parking fee.

Win Door Prizes, Gift baskets, 50:50 raffle and pumpkins for children.  Festival highlights include Interactive exhibits inside the Preserve’s Nature Museum. Hands-on wetland ecology program at Willow Pond, led by Jan Porinchak. A fantastic photo opp at the large wooden face-in-hole fish statue. Kids enjoy a full day of fun activities including the Long Island Falconers demonstrations, catch-and-release fishing, fly-fishing demonstration, face painting, learning games, nature hike and a birding walk.

Live performances include:

Joplin’s Pearl Sensation, Amber Ferrari, rocks the stage with a few of her favorite classics. Jazz Fusion Singer/Songwriter TJay performing his unique musical style which combines Rock/Pop with Jazz and Funk to create an independent sound which speaks to all musical tastes. TJay has performed with renowned artists including The Doobie Brothers, Blues Traveler and the Neville Brothers.
