LI Green Market; Long Island’s top farmers market network, is gearing up for a season of farm to table shopping for Smithtown residents. Beginning the first weekend of June, both the Nesconset and Kings Park Farmers Markets will host vendors from all over Long Island and Upstate New York. Featuring fun activities for the kids, a wealth of fresh produce, potted plants, fresh flowers and hand-made items like soaps and candles.
Nesconset Farmers Market Details:
The Nesconset Farmers Market will officially open on Saturday June 6th at the Nesconset Plaza located at 127 Smithtown Blvd in Nesconset. The farmers market will be open every Saturday from 9 A.M. through 2 P.M. through November 21st.
Kings Park Farmers Market Details:
The Kings Park Farmers Market will officially open on Sunday, June 7th at the Municipal Lot on Main Street just across from the Kings Park Fire Department. The farmers market will be open every Sunday from 9 A.M. through 1 P.M. through November 22nd.
Enjoy everything from potted plants and cut flowers, fresh organic fruits and vegetables, as well as specialty items like soy candles, soaps, baked goods and gluten free cookies. Produce is locally grown featuring organic varieties of Long Island corn, heirloom tomatoes, potatoes, squash, onions and fresh herbs. In addition to the delicious local produce, the market features farm grown, eggs, cheeses and milk, a select group of seafood, meat, poultry, pasta and pickling vendors.
