It’s Election night for Suffolk County voters. Smithtown residents are heading out to the polls to vote for the 12th Suffolk County legislative district seat, vacated by Republican John Kennedy. Will Smithtown resident and Democrat Deborah Monaco finish out Kennedy’s term or will the seat go to the County Comptrollers wife and former aide? Many have deemed Nesconset resident and Republican, Leslie Kennedy as the front-runner for the position, given her current job, operating the vacated position with tremendous success in her husbands absence.
