The clever artists at Art & Soul Studio in Nesconset have collaborated with Creative Cups to orchestrate an ingenious event, to support Breast Cancer. Creative Cups workshops comes to Art & Soul Studio in Nesconset in a fun and artistic event to help the Adelphi Breast Cancer Hotline. On Friday, June 10th and 17th, from 6 PM – 8 PM all are welcome to turn their own braziers into a masterpiece.
Most survivors of Breast Cancer will tell you that having a sense of humor is what gets you through the rough days. Now, residents throughout the community can help others overcome Breast Cancer, by turning ordinary bras into works of art. Each masterful creation will be auctioned off to support the Adelphi NY Statewide Breast Cancer Program. The best part of this experience is that you don’t have to have a creative bone in your body to participate. Art and Soul Studio in Nesconset will guide each participant to create an exhibit and auction worthy work of art.

Nesconset artist Susan Lau and her instructors at Art & Soul Studio will assist participants in designing and realizing each vision. For those requiring assistance in registration and submission process, the at Art & Soul Studio staff is on hand to help as well. No matter your age or level of artistic ability, all members of the community are welcome.

Creative Cups Workshop Details:
BYOB: bring your own bra – 36C underwire, no pushup
Cost: Reistration = $25 plus $15, for all the materials and supplies you will need (yarn, beads, buttons, trimmings, fabric, thread, paper, watercolor and acrylic paints, tissue paper, feathers, crayons, markers, pastels, glue/hot glue, wire, duct tape, stencils, stamps, scrapbook materials and various odds and ends)
Note: If artists do not finish their bra during one workshop, they are welcome to attend a later date at no additional cost. Only the first 200 bras will be accepted. All bras will be professionally photographed and published in a collectable coffee table book and auctioned off at a Gala and Auction on March 16, 2017. All money raised will be used to offset the costs of running the Adelphi NY Statewide Breast Cancer Hotline & Support Program. About Creative Cups (TM)
Each year, Creative Cups partners with local art studios and invites members of the community to design clever masterpieces using their own bras and art supplies. In March, Creative Cups hosts an annual art exhibition and gala where they auction off the masterpieces, all benefiting the Adelphi NY Statewide Breast Cancer Hotline and Support Program. The pieces designed in June will be auctioned on March 16, 2017.
