Customized Wall Art
Transfer a favorite memory from photo paper to wood. Start by applying gel medium generously on one side of a wooden plank. Liquitex and Mod Podge makes a Photo Transfer Medium which you can find at a local craft store like Michael’s. Place the photo paper “Photo Side Down” onto the gel and immediately smooth out the bubbles. Allow the wood to dry at least 8 hours or overnight. Next, wet the paper using a damp sponge. Using a sponge or wet rag, carefully remove the paper and all the residue. You will begin to see the photo has now transferred to the wood. Coat with Mod Podge all-in-one sealer. Note: Gloss finish will have a shine to it, for a polished look. Matte finish gives the finished product more of a rustic look. Allow plenty of time for the final coat to dry. Tip: Paint the Mod Podge finish outdoors to avoid direct contact with heavy fumes.

Father’s Day Photo Art
Frame a few photos with a special message to dad for him to hang in his office. With the age of the selfie, it’s easy to take a bunch of snapshots of yourself holding up a Father’s Day or World’s Best Dad sign. If your children are too young to orchestrate this type of gift, make a handprint family tree with finger paint and an artist canvas easily found at all Arts and Crafts Stores.
