Campaign Season Kickoff for Creighton

By Maureen Rossi

Casa Rustica was busting with politicos and friends of Bob Creighton last Thursday.   He officially kicked off his fundraiser which also attracted fellow Council Members, Lynne Nowick and Eddie Wehrheim as well as other town employees.

As the Italian food was served at the popular Smithtown eatery Bob took just a few minutes to thank his friends and supports.  “Listen I hate having to do fundraisers but they are part of the business and I will be running for my seat this fall,” he shared.   The man of the hour had the ear of many friends, some made small talk, other spoke about what needs to get done in Smithtown.

“I’m running again because I love what I do, I love serving the town in this capacity,” he said.  He said he looks forward to a clean campaign and wishes his Democratic opponent the best.   With his wife and two of his five kids at his side, the seasoned public servant was all smiles.   His wife Gerry of fifty years said he is no shape or form ready to retire.  “He really does love his job and we look forward to a win in the fall,” she declared.
