Animal Shelter Searches to Find Stray Pups Owner

Smithtown Animal Shelter Lost Dog Found

Did you lose your dog last weekend? Volunteers and Staff members at the Smithtown Animal Shelter and Adoption Center have asked the public to help find this sweet girl’s owner. On March 5th, 2016 a good samaritan spotted a female cattle dog mix on Wilson Avenue, just off Lake Avenue, in Nesconset. The good Samaritan brought the dog to the shelter, in hopes that her owner would come forward.

The staff members at the Animal Shelter describe the dog as shy but extremely sweet. If this sounds like your neighbor’s dog, or perhaps a friend’s dog, please pass along the photo and description.

The Smithtown Animal Shelter and Adoption Center has a Seven day stray dog policy. If no potential owner comes forward by the end of the weekend, she will be given a name and put up for adoption. Once “Jane” FI-DO will have to be vaccinated, spayed (if applicable) microchipped, tested for heartworm, dewormed and treated for flea’s (if applicable)
