Students at Accompsett Middle School Got an Emergency Preparedness lesson from the experts at the American Red Cross on March 1st
Accompsett Middle School students met with the experts at American Red Cross last week. On Wednesday, March 1st, students learned how to make a plan in case of different types of emergencies during Health class.
Throughout the day, students got an education about making various emergency plans such as, what to do in a fire verses a disaster situation and how to evacuate safely. They learned how to work with their parents to put a plan in place in case of an emergency as well as what supplies they would need to keep their family safe. The American Red Cross representatives also gave Accompsett students basics of first aid lessons. Each student was given a certificate of completion from the American Red Cross.
