Almost Queen Rocks Smithtown

ALMOST QUEEN MORE THAN ALMOST BLEW US AWAY

On Tuesday evening in this humid late July here on Long Island, a multitude of people gathered to hear the Queen tribute band Almost Queen play at the Nesconset Gazebo. As always the community showed up with goods to donate to Long Island Cares and Operation Care Package to help those in need in the community and to support our troops who sacrifice everything for this country.

In order to kick off the concert, Alessio Farina did the honors of singing our National Anthem. Alessio is a student of Brooklyn College training to be an opera singer, and did a beautiful rendition of The Star Spangled Banner.

Almost Queen was a crowd favorite, and was greatly enjoyed by those who braved the heat and humidity to listen to them play. As always they were enthused to play before the packed out crowd in Nesconset.  “Almost Queen is an excellent tribute band and I swear its Freddy Mercury singing when I see and hear them play, I always enjoy their show.” said Legislator Leslie Kennedy.

Next Tuesday night, August 4th, Driftwoods will be preforming their tribute of the Beach Boys at the Nesconset Gazebo.
