The 9-11 Responders Remembered Park to commemorate the 15 Year Anniversary with 98 New Names, A Special Rescue & Therapy Dog Statue and Plaque and Flag Dedication Ceremony.

This Saturday, September 17th, 2016, witness history be forever engraved at the 9-11 Responders Remembered Park in Nesconset. On this 15 year anniversary, the Feal Good Foundation and 9-11 Responders Remembered Park will read the names of 98 first responders. In addition to honoring the brave men and women who sacrificed everything in the name of hope, a new Canine Statue and plaque will be unveiled to honor over 350 Rescue Dogs and more than 300 therapy Dogs that made the largest recovery effort in U.S. history possible.

“Our Park and those on our wall are a reminder to us all of how great we can be as a Nation when united. Never before did anyone witness such Humanity and Empathy after that horrific Tuesday Morning. Our Park not only continues to serve the 9/11 community, but preserves its legacy for future generations, assuring history is never distorted” – John Feal, the Feal Good Foundation & Martin Aponte, 9/11 Responders Remembered Park

Martin Luther King Jr once said, Every step toward the goal of justice requires sacrifice, suffering, and struggle; the tireless exertions and passionate concern of dedicated individuals. The 9/11 responders community have faced countless battles, both at home and in Washington D.C. Through illness and loss, they have stayed the course and are single-handedly responsible for indefinitely securing the James Zadroga 9/11 Health and Compensation Act. We owe every man, woman and canine who searched through iron and steal a great debt… one that can never truly be paid. But we can honor them, by standing side by side, united as a community this Saturday.

The reading of 98 new names, flag dedication, statue and plaque ceremony is scheduled to begin promptly at 10 AM. The 9/11 Responders Remembered Park is located at the corner of Gibbs Pond Road and Smithtown Blvd in Nesconset, NY
