100 DECA Students Awarded at State Competition
DECA Students from both Smithtown High Schools competed in the New York DECA State Competition in Rochester this Month. Out of the 118 DECA students to compete, 81 students were awarded with medals and trophies and 33 students qualified to attend the International Career Conference in Nashville, Tennessee, at the end of April. Smithtown High School East was recognized as a chapter for Advocacy, Community Service, Global Entrepreneurship and Promotional Campaigns. Smithtown High School West was also given chapter recognition for Community Service and Promotional Campaigns and for its contributions to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
